Ep. 28: D-Team and Alpha Gang retrieve the Black Cosmos Stone from a mammoth during a volcanic eruption.

Spectre and Brontikens join the conflict, causing a volcano eruption that forces Space Pirates to retreat with their dinosaurs. The D-Team and Alpha Gang board the timeship, where Helga rescues Dr. Z after the Black Cosmos Stone falls into a Woolly Mammoth's mouth. Investigating the past, the team encounters Dr. Spike Taylor and a younger Max. After an earthquake separates them, excavation begins until Space Pirates arrive. The D-Team and Alpha Gang are beamed back, revealing Dr. Z secured the stone and fossil. Space Pirates provide the D-Team's parents, but they are Gel Jarks in disguise who capture the group. The stone is fake, and Seth demands it via the timeship. Spectre orders his minions to stop Seth. Gavro, Foolscap, and Sheer unleash Gigas, Armatus, and Maximus, while Seth summons a Cryolophosaurus. Seth freezes the monsters with Blizzard Smash and commandeers the timeship. Helga defeats the Gel Jarks using salt, freeing the captives. Max and Chomp confront Seth and the Cryolophosaurus.
