Gary announces to everyone that Naozumi is his son and that he intends to raise him as a major star. However, Naozumi has no desire to remain in America. He wishes to return to Japan because he has never considered Gary to be his father. This creates a conflict between Gary's public declaration and Naozumi's personal feelings regarding their relationship and future location.
