Ep. 1: Motoko and Batou hunt weapon suppliers in Palm Springs while Togusa assists Aramaki in Japan.

Motoko, Batou, Saito, Ishikawa, and new recruit Standard, nicknamed Clown by Batou, patrol the war-torn roads of Palm Springs to locate the supplier of high-powered weapons for local bandits. Simultaneously, Togusa, who has recently divorced, returns to police work in Japan after Aramaki requests his assistance with a separate investigation. Back in Palm Springs, Motoko’s team consults a confidential informant who reveals that the belligerents receive arms from a figure known as the Good 1%er, though the informant cannot identify this person. The group’s search is abruptly interrupted when they encounter a robotic guard dog during their meeting with the informant.
