Following the death of children kidnapped by Noah's Arc Circus, the Queen tasks Ciel with proving his loyalty. The Double Grey butlers arrive at Phantomhive Manor to host a banquet for German banker Lord Georg von Siemens. After Siemens is found dead, Ciel becomes the primary suspect due to lacking an alibi. He is placed under the supervision of guest Arthur Conan Doyle. That night, Sebastian is killed, and he formally transfers his duties to the staff before bidding Ciel farewell. His body is discovered the next morning. Ciel accepts Sebastian's death after the demon refuses to revive himself. When another guest is found dead, the group reevaluates their alibis. It is revealed that Sebastian left a letter for Mey-Rin to send via owl. The mysterious reverend Jeremy Rathborne then makes a sudden appearance.
