The Red Imperial sorceress Kagetsu subjects Saniwa to torture in an effort to discover the whereabouts of Kuromitsu. Kuromitsu suddenly appears and kills Kagetsu. He then instructs Kuro to go to the Red Imperial headquarters before disappearing once more. Following these events, Saniwa dies. The sequence of violence concludes with the sorceress dead, the target missing, and Saniwa deceased, leaving Kuro with a specific directive regarding the enemy base.
