Roderic tells Shiroe that building a lunar communication device is prohibitively expensive and its functionality is uncertain. Meanwhile, Tohya and his party debate returning to their original reality. In Maihama, Lord Sergiatte informs Isaac that he plans to name Iselus the next heir to the Cowen throne and requests Isaac’s continued protection. Karashin observes rising tensions between Westelande and Eastal. During a banquet for Prince Iselus, Sergiatte expresses regret over the burden of rulership but, with Isaac’s support, officially presents Iselus as the heir to the Maihama throne. Westelande Landers crash the event to assassinate Iselus, but Isaac, aided by Karashin and Reserick, defends him. Regan visits Shiroe with new findings, including a faint signal from the Shibuya broadcast building detected near transport gates. Suddenly, reports emerge of people collapsing across Maihama and Akihabara as a black cloud releases strange spores over Akihabara.
