The island of Rabaul contains many remains of Japanese casualties from the Pacific War. Rumors suggest that Captain Cook's secret treasure, valued at 1-billion pounds, is hidden there. Lupin and his companions travel to the location in a helicopter to retrieve the wealth. However, their aircraft is shot down by a Zero plane. The episode concludes with the mystery of who is piloting the attacking plane, leaving the group in a precarious situation amidst the historical remnants of the war.
