However, Lupin discovers that both the CIA and KGB are also hunting for the artifact. The situation becomes complicated as multiple intelligence agencies converge on the crash site. Lupin must navigate these dangerous political tensions to secure the ring. The narrative questions the true nature of the Star of Alaska and whether it remains recoverable from the ocean floor amidst the escalating international conflict.
