Delta Squadron and Walküre arrive on planet Voldor, where the climate has shifted since Protoculture ruins emerged from underground. Aerial Knights enter orbit as a security precaution. Freyja is captured by Qasim, who has separated from the Aerial Knights, and they bond over an apple barbecue because she is from a village near his farm. Qasim also captures Hayate but releases both of them due to his uncertainty about his cause. Delta Squadron and Walküre reach the ruins, sparking a dogfight between Delta Squadron and the Aerial Knights. A singing battle between Walküre and Prince Heinz causes major fold wave disruptions throughout the Brisingr Cluster.
