A continuation of the prior film, it follows Ranka as her celebrity status grows while Sheryl's condition worsens after a collapse during a concert. Various groups work in secret to harness the two women's vocal powers to influence the Vajra threat. As the Macross Frontier fleet prepares for a decisive battle against the Vajra, Alto must decide between the two women.
