Macross II: Lovers Again

In 2089, 80 years after the first Space War, humans and Zentraedi coexist peacefully on Earth until the arrival of the Marduk, a new alien race entering the Solar System. During the initial conflict between the U.N. Spacy and the Marduk fleet, Hibiki Kanzaki, a rookie reporter for SNN, encounters Ishtar, an "Emulator" whose singing boosts the Marduk's combat abilities. Hibiki takes Ishtar to Earth to teach her about life and culture. Alongside Silvie Gena, a skilled Valkyrie pilot, Hibiki and Ishtar work to prevent the Marduk leader Ingues from destroying Earth.
