Ep. 1: Queen Promethium mechanizes La Metal to survive a fading black sun, but discovers Hardgear's betrayal before sending her daughters away.

Years after La Andromeda Promethium ascended to the throne of La Metal, the planet’s artificial black sun begins to dim, causing widespread starvation among the citizens. Desperate for a solution, Promethium encounters the Metanoids, mechanical lifeforms led by the scientist Hardgear. He offers her a way to ensure survival by mechanizing the entire planet and its population. Accepting this as her only option, Promethium undergoes the transformation, only to realize Hardgear is exploiting her for his own ambitions of domination. In her final moments of humanity, she sends her daughters, Emeraldas and Maetel, away on the 999. The sisters must then evade their pursuers while coping with the tragic loss of their mother.
