Years after La Andromeda Promethium became queen of La Metal, the planet’s artificial black sun begins to fade, causing widespread starvation. To ensure survival, Promethium accepts a deal with Hardgear, a scientist from the Metanoids, who offers to mechanize the planet and its citizens. However, she soon realizes Hardgear is exploiting her for his own domination goals. Using her remaining humanity, Promethium sends her daughters Emeraldas and Maetel away on the 999. The sisters must then evade their pursuers while coping with the tragic loss of their mother. This narrative explores the desperate measures taken by a ruler facing extinction and the subsequent journey of her heirs as they flee the mechanized world.
