Hayate becomes engulfed by the power of the Book. Chrono battles masked men and identifies them as the Lieze Twins, who serve as familiars to Admiral Graham. It is revealed that Admiral Graham orchestrated events so Hayate would complete the Tome of Darkness, intending to use this act to seal both the tome and Hayate away. Meanwhile, Arisa and Suzuka uncover the truth regarding Nanoha and Fate. During this time, Fate is absorbed by the Book of Darkness. The episode details the confrontation with Graham's agents and the tragic fate awaiting Hayate as the Tome nears completion under his manipulation.
