Fate and Nanoha once again face Signum and Vita, attempting to uncover the reasons behind their actions. During the encounter, a mysterious man shields Vita from an attack launched by Nanoha. He then steps into the conflict between Signum and Fate, successfully stealing Fate's Linker Core and rendering her unable to continue fighting. This intervention shifts the dynamic of the confrontation, leaving Fate incapacitated while the others remain engaged in the struggle to understand the motivations of their opponents.
