After fulfilling the church's requests, life was expected to return to normal. However, Elias has been acting strangely since the previous mission. He disappeared on the first morning after Chise spent the night in his room. Chise remains unsettled by his absence and erratic conduct. Neither Angelica's comforting words nor Ruth's pure statements are sufficient to calm her anxieties or put her mind at ease regarding the situation.
