Arika, Mashiro, and Miyu arrive at the Black Valley, where they meet the long-lost Mai and Mikoto the Cat Goddess. Arika learns she is the daughter of Lena Sayers, the Otome for the Kingdom of Windbloom, while Nina is revealed to be the true princess. Natsuki and Nao subsequently join the group. The episode title references Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.
