Yohko Mano discovers her lineage as a devil hunter while demons target her and Hideki.
Dec 1, 1990Yohko Mano leads a mundane life, frequently daydreaming about a boy named Hideki. She soon learns that her family has a long history of serving as devil hunters. However, demons launch a preemptive strike to eliminate the next hunter before she can fight back. After a failed attempt to take Yohko's virginity to prevent her from becoming a devil hunter, the demons decide to use Hideki as bait. Yohko must become the 108th devil hunter and rescue the man of her dreams. The English-dubbed Special Edition of this episode restores approximately 30 seconds of assorted footage that was cut from the final Japanese print of the film.

Dec 22, 1992Yohko undergoes training to become a skilled devil hunter. Meanwhile, a nearby construction site destroys a forest containing sleeping spirits. The disturbance causes these spirits to harass the construction workers. Azusa Kanzaki, a devil hunter in training, arrives with the intention of becoming Yohko's apprentice. The two characters team up to combat the spirits that are troubling the workers at the site. This narrative introduces Azusa's role and the conflict arising from the environmental destruction affecting the supernatural entities.

Yohko dreams of Master Biryu and travels to another dimension to rescue him from captivity.
Apr 11, 1993Yohko experiences a dream involving a man identified as Master Biryu, which transports her to an alternate dimension. She discovers that Biryu is imprisoned and realizes she must rescue him, during which she develops romantic feelings for him. Meanwhile, Azusa witnesses Yohko’s disappearance and teams up with her friend Chi to locate her. The pair successfully reaches Yohko’s location but fails to retrieve her, ultimately returning to their original starting point. Yohko is required to defeat the demon responsible for holding Master Biryu captive in order to secure his freedom.

Yohko confronts Tokima, who possesses Ryuichi and Azusa to destroy the sealing clock and unleash hell.
Jul 1, 1995Madoka senses the return of Tokima, the ancient enemy of the Mano family. Tokima possesses Ryuichi Asakura, a man Yohko likes, and attempts to reach the sealing clock but is repelled by talismans. The next day, Madoka reverts to her youthful body. Tokima then possesses Azusa, who steals the clock. Yohko fights Azusa to prevent the clock's destruction but is tricked and seemingly killed. With the clock destroyed, Tokima's power is released. Yohko is transported to the era of the first Devil Hunter, Haruka Mano. She returns to the present to join the final battle against Tokima.

Ayako Mano challenges Yohko in a rivalry that awakens an ancient demon threatening both families.
Jul 1, 1995Ayako Mano, who resembles Yohko, trains to become the Mano family devil hunter and confronts her rival. After Ayako steals Yohko’s romantic interests, a chase leads to a meeting with an Azusa look-alike. Ayako and her ally attack Yohko, who parries their crushing blows before the duel pauses. Madoka reveals past connections related to the conflict. Yohko’s teacher serves as bait for a final showdown. The intense battle inadvertently awakens a powerful demon sleeping deep within the Earth. Consequently, Yohko and Ayako must set aside their rivalry and fight together to defend against this formidable creature, altering the course of their personal feud.
