Ep. 1127: Kogoro questions the procedural delay in prosecuting Kengo Kitao despite his full confession.

At the MPD Asahidai Police Station, Kogoro anxiously demands answers from Inspector Megure regarding the prosecution status of Kengo Kitao, a suspect he helped arrest. Although Kitao confessed to the murder of Masato Honda, he remains silent when questioned about details, seemingly exploiting his age to stall proceedings. Megure explains this legal standoff to a puzzled Kogoro. Conan observes the strange dynamic in the interrogation room. The case stems from an anonymous tip received eight days ago, which led police to a suspended construction area in Asahidai. There, they found Honda’s abandoned car and his body. Honda had been administered sleeping pills before being killed. The investigation focuses on why the suspect is not moving forward in the formal legal process despite his admission of guilt.
