Kogoro Mouri observes a suspect linked to a threatening note received from Satsuki Makabe. Mistaking a man in an elevator for the culprit, Kogoro brings him to the agency, where Satsuki identifies him as her brother, Yuto Makabe. Yuto claims he sent the note because Satsuki refused to lend him money. Satsuki slaps him and forces him to sign a non-harassment contract, which she destroys after he leaves. Days later, police discover the body of Ryoichi Doba, a wealthy man known for his debauchery. Megure receives an anonymous tip about a woman holding a grudge against the victim. Takagi and Chiba report that ten individuals have motives, including Satsuki Makabe, linking the earlier sibling dispute to the ongoing murder investigation.
