Conan questions three suspects but cannot identify the culprit until he notices Haibara watching a soccer match on a subway TV. She empathizes with player Higo, who moved from Noir Tokyo to the Tokyo Spirits and is now disliked by both teams. Conan deduces that the culprit is a fake supporter of Noir Tokyo because of a knife imprint on his arm. As Higo scores a goal and his new team cheers, Conan approaches Haibara. She promises never to run away from fate, and Conan vows to protect her.
