Agasa leads the Detective Boys on a camping trip where they meet Masumi Sera. Genta, Mitsuhiko, Ayumi, and Haibara find a man burying a female corpse and are chased by him into a cabin. Inside, they realize the cabin is the murder scene and become trapped as a fire starts. Agasa, Conan, and Sera worry due to poor cell service. Gunma police investigate three suspicious men in the forest. Inspector Yamamura dismisses the smoke from the burning cabin as a harmless campfire, unaware the children are locked inside.
