Hanon attempts to lift Lucia's spirits by visiting a fortune teller. The seer instructs Lucia to discard her most valuable possession, a ring, into the ocean. Lucia complies, only to discover the next day that the fortune teller was a fraud. Determined to recover her ring, Lucia enters the sea. She is nearly captured by Lady Bat, who was the impostor fortune teller, before Hanon and Rina arrive to save her.
