At Midsummer Beach, locals share legends of a seaweed-covered ghoul with glowing red eyes. Zyro and his friends arrive to relax away from Beyblade, though Benkei insists on rigorous training involving a weighted rubber wheel. After a volleyball game and a meal of sandwiches and ramen, strange noises emerge from the water. A sea monster appears, terrifying the girls and prompting Shinobu to launch Ninja Salamander, causing the creature to retreat. The group later discovers the monster was a disguise worn by Gen Kinokura, who explains his presence on the beach. While the others remain confused, Tsubasa is unexpectedly pulled off a cliff by a strong fish while fishing.
