Michiko is on the run from the law after abducting Hana from her adoptive family. She runs out of gas while fleeing. Atsuko, a police sergeant and childhood acquaintance of Michiko, is in hot pursuit. Atsuko is also the person who originally put Michiko in jail. The episode focuses on this chase dynamic between the fugitive and the officer seeking her capture.
