Willie enters the hive and immediately receives a reprimand from Cassandra for failing to bring Maya along. This criticism is unjustified, as Maya has independently flown away and been captured by hornets without Willie's knowledge. Upon her capture, Maya encounters several familiar insects, including a bug, a glowworm, and various beetles, reuniting with old acquaintances in her new predicament.
