Durahan deploys a squadron of Astros to eliminate Genki and his team. The group evades the Astros within the ruins of a spaceship, where they encounter Captain Astro. He recounts how the people of Vangea tortured him and expresses a desire for revenge against all humans. Astro fails to recognize that not every human is evil until he falls down a waterfall. Genki attempts to rescue him during this incident. The situation results in Astro becoming a lost disk. This encounter challenges Astro's initial hostility toward humanity as he experiences an act of kindness amidst his quest for vengeance against those he perceives as enemies.
