Ep. 5: The group evades capture and discusses the Lost Technology's origins before facing a final battle.
Falis, Alita, and their companions escape capture with help from traveling entertainers. During a break, they reveal that the Lost Technology, entrusted to House Forland after the Old World's demise, is the root cause of recent events. This technology, sealed for female House members, created Dominikov, Pete, and other synthetic beasts. The group is soon attacked by Kaito, Cecilia, and the Forland army. Androids attempt to defend them but run out of power. Pete and Dominikov reveal their true cyborg forms to hold off the enemy. Near the border, Kaito attacks the wagon, causing most to pass out except Alita. She flees into the woods with a cloak and Falis's sword to distract Kaito. In the forest, Kaito hesitates to kill Alita due to her strong gaze. Falis regains consciousness and injures Kaito but cannot kill him. Kaito flees, and the army retreats. Realizing they can no longer run, Falis and Alita resolve to fight to reclaim their country from Kaito and Cecilia.
