Rudeus and his companions reach Millicion, the capital of the Holy Land of Millis. He plans to remain temporarily to earn money. While walking through the city, he witnesses a child being abducted. Rudeus pursues the abductors to rescue the victim and engages them in combat. The situation becomes complicated when he discovers that a familiar person is involved in the incident.
