Ep. 4: Yobiko seeks Natsume's help to contact Karikami and resolve a past connection with Youko.

Yobiko, a youkai capable of mimicking voices, enters Natsume's home and requests assistance in summoning Karikami. He recounts his history with Youko, a woman he watched over at a shrine. After a man she loved left her for an arranged marriage, Yobiko revealed the truth and departed. Years later, he discovered a sealed, wrinkled letter at the shrine. Natsume and Yobiko locate Karikami, and upon returning his name, Karikami restores the letter's condition. Unable to read human script, Yobiko asks Natsume to decipher it. Contrary to his expectation of hatred, the letter expresses gratitude for his honesty regarding the man's departure.
