Tatsuhiro encounters his former high school class representative, Megumi Kobayashi, and confesses his status as a hikikomori. She claims to know someone who can assist him and takes him to a rundown building. There, he is subjected to a multi-level marketing presentation for a pseudo detergent. Although he attempts to flee, Megumi pursues him and shares her own tragic background. Moved by her story, Tatsuhiro ultimately decides to buy the washing powder from her, resolving the immediate situation despite the questionable nature of the sales pitch.
