Tatsuhiro frantically cleans his apartment to prepare for his mother's visit, with Misaki assisting in the effort. The trio subsequently enjoys lunch at a Chinese restaurant. During the meal, Tatsuhiro steps away to use the restroom, allowing his mother to reveal to Misaki that she recognizes the entire scenario as a fabrication, noting she can always detect his lies. Tatsuhiro overhears this confession and feels increased guilt. Despite this, his mother maintains the pretense in his presence, preventing him from explaining the truth. Consequently, Tatsuhiro and Misaki become increasingly immersed in their deceptive romantic dynamic.
