Ep. 1: YoRHa androids face tragic missions involving memory loss and repeated assassinations of 9S by 2B.

YoRHa androids 2B and 9S encounter a survivor who killed a comrade and committed suicide after realizing he was a 2E executioner unit. During their scouting mission, 2B attempts to kill 9S twice, once interrupted by reflected sunlight and once resulting in the severing of his arm. She reveals her true 2E designation and orders to reset his personality. Although 9S hacks her, his pod betrays him, allowing 2B to overcome the intrusion. The pair simultaneously impale each other, leading to 9S's fatal wound. 2B puts him to rest with a saddened expression while the bunker commander observes. It is revealed that 2B has executed 9S many times in the past because he always uncovers the secrets behind YoRHa.
