Rantarou, Kirimaru, and Shinbei travel to the mountains to collect a large quantity of chestnuts. Ookinakurinokinoshita Anata arrives later and is shocked to find the ground completely bare of nuts. The Dokutake ninjas, intending to steal the chestnuts from Kirimaru, seize the basket containing the harvest along with Kirimaru himself. This incident highlights the conflict between the group's gathering efforts and the ninjas' theft attempt in the mountain setting.
