During an extracurricular trip to Far-back Mountain, first-year ha-class nintama encounter kunoichi who share rumors of a kappa inhabiting the mountain valley. Upon arriving at the location, the group discovers that Dokutake ninja are actively constructing a bridge in the area. The students must navigate these unexpected developments while dealing with the local legends and the presence of rival ninjas in the region.
