A prolonged drought causes the farmers' waterwheel to cease operation. While working at his part-time job, Kirimaru learns about this issue and discusses it with his classmate Heidayuu. Recognizing Heidayuu's proficiency with mechanics, Kirimaru believes he can devise an effective solution to restore the waterwheel's movement and address the agricultural problem.
