Sora and Shiro, known online as the undefeated duo Blank, are hikikomori ostracized in reality. They defeat Tet in chess and accept his offer to travel to Disboard, a world where the Ten Pledges forbid violence and enforce game outcomes. Believing it to be a joke, they are summoned to Elkia, a human nation. There, Sora wins money from a woman at poker through deception. Afterward, the siblings rest at an inn and determine that their primary objective is to secure a permanent home for themselves in this new reality.
