Stresemann directs Chiaki, Nodame, Mine, and Masumi to a music festival for lessons from renowned musicians. Mine feels overwhelmed by the talented crowd. Chiaki must watch Stresemann, who suffers from a hangover, and ends up conducting an orchestra. Nodame faces criticism from festival director Nina Lutz for her lack of motivation.
