Ep. 35: Yamaoka helps businessman Satoi reunite with former tonkatsu owners Nakahashi

Deputy Director Tomii tasks Yamaoka and Kurita with investigating a letter from Shinichi Satoi, a Japanese businessman who lived in the United States for 30 years. Satoi has returned to Japan seeking traditional tonkatsu in Shibuya that matches his memories from his student days at Tonkatsu Daio. He recalls the kindness of owners Mr and Mrs Nakahashi and their delicious food. Yamaoka pursues the story, locating the retired couple in a retirement village and facilitating their reunion with Satoi. Yamaoka provides high-quality ingredients for Nakahashi to recreate the original flavor. Satoi then surprises them by purchasing the establishment, prompting the Nakahashis to end their retirement and reopen Tonkatsu Daio.
