Ojii-san no Lamp

A child discovers an unusual item during a game of hide-and-seek, prompting his grandfather to recount a story from his youth involving the same object. The narrative reflects on Japan's modernization and the transformations it brought. The project was supported by a 214 million yen ($2.26 million) investment from Japan's Agency of Cultural Affairs under the "Young Animator Training Project." The Japan Animation Creators Association (JaniCA) managed the initiative, producing four original 23-minute anime episodes, each with opening and ending sequences, in collaboration with four different studios.
