Yuuto Amakawa's Sixteenth Birthday Brings Cat Spirit Himari Into His Life

On his sixteenth birthday, Yuuto Amakawa encounters a mysterious girl who licks his face, shocking his friend Rinko. At school, demon-possessed Taizo attacks them until the girl, later identified as cat spirit Himari, exorcises the entity. Himari reveals Yuuto’s lineage as one of the twelve Demon Slayer families and her vow to protect him. Rinko challenges Himari to sports battles for Yuuto’s custody but loses all of them. Insulted, Rinko calls Himari a monster, but Yuuto reconciles with the spirit, accepting her protection. The next morning, Rinko attempts to apologize but is disturbed to find Himari in Yuuto’s bed, sparking further conflict. Meanwhile, an ayakashi named Shizuki appears, declaring her intent to kill Yuuto herself.
