Ep. 3: Kyosuke and friends surprise Saori with a birthday visit to her apartment

Kyosuke, Kirino, and Ruri surprise Saori by visiting her apartment for her birthday, finally seeing her without glasses. The narrative flashes back four years to when a shy, frail Saori was introduced to otaku culture by her sister Kaori and flatmates Shinya Sanada and manga artist Kanata Yamanashi. Kanata mentored Saori, who felt abandoned when Kaori married. Determined to help others, Saori started her own circle, receiving swirly glasses from Kanata. This journey led to her meeting Kirino and Ruri. In the present, Kaori, Kanata, and old friends visit to check on Saori’s new companions. Kanata reminds Saori to pass on her glasses when no longer needed, and the birthday celebration begins.
