After their game faces online criticism, Ruri and Sena resolve to improve their work. Kyosuke receives a message from Kirino instructing him to discard her eroge and anime merchandise. He contacts Ayase, who confirms Kirino has been unreachable since leaving. Kyosuke then meets Ruri, who thanks him for helping her adjust to school life and urges him to travel to America to address Kirino’s issues. He gives Kyosuke a kiss on the cheek before he departs. In Los Angeles, Kyosuke finds Kirino at a track camp. They play eroge together, lifting her spirits as she has lacked time for her collection. Kirino explains she sought independence and refused to contact anyone until she defeated an opponent in a time trial. Kyosuke expresses his loneliness and asks her to return to Japan. Motivated, Kirino beats her elementary school roommate in a race and returns home, reuniting with her friends and hobbies.
