Osomatsu-kun (1988)

A con man with buckteeth and a bald, short-tempered partner frequently cross paths with the troublemaking Matsuno sextuplets from the first episode. Each installment typically features self-contained comedic scenarios involving these characters and various eccentric townspeople, who appear in multiple roles as the series moves fluidly across different eras and styles. Iyami and Chibita, often at the forefront, team up in their efforts to pull off get-rich-quick schemes, despite their down-on-their-luck status.
