Tsurupika Hagemaru-kun

Hagemaru Hageda is a fourth-grade student in Japan who lives with his parents, who are all extremely frugal. Money-saving efforts are central to the series. Hagemaru owns a dog named Pesu, who frequently remarks on the family's tightfistedness, especially regarding food. He is close friends with his classmate Masaru Kondo and has a crush on Midori, another student in his class. Most episodes feature Hagemaru at school, focusing on interactions with his teacher and classmates. Each episode concludes with a compilation of the top ten moments.
