Perman (1983)

Mitsuo meets Superman, a member of an intergalactic peacekeeping federation. Superman gives him a helmet that doubles as a mask, a cape for flight, and a badge for underwater breathing and communication with others who have received similar gear. Superman warns that revealing their identities could result in death and provides a doppelgänger robot to help maintain secrecy. Using these tools, Mitsuo and others become young Permans who work to preserve peace and assist those in need.
