Dot, Liko, and Roy travel to a river to observe wild Pokémon for a report. Liko struggles to connect with Floragato, who becomes upset and runs off. Dot notices the mood and suggests investigating a local phenomenon called the "pillar of petals" to cheer them up. While searching for Floragato, Liko falls into a ravine. She helps a group of Toedscool and witnesses the pillar of petals before being rescued. Although she forgets to capture the moment on camera, Liko decides to illustrate it for her report, grateful for the bond strengthened with Floragato through the experience.
