The Rising Volt Tacklers travel to Pericarp Town to locate Laqua and Rayquaza. They encounter Yuha, a local boy who holds Rayquaza responsible for recent incidents. During their exploration, Friede speaks with the town matriarch, who recounts a mysterious explosion at Mount Pericarp one hundred years ago. She notes that Rayquaza was seen fleeing the scene while a man with long hair, identified as Gibeon, appeared. Friede informs the team that Laqua is located at the "place where the land meets the sky" on Mount Pericarp. The group then undertakes a perilous ascent up the mountain, overcoming numerous challenges along the way. They finally arrive at a crater at the summit, which is filled with clouds.
