Pagogo adopts its Stellar Form to purify Laqua, allowing the Six Heroes to depart. Gibeon passes his legacy to Amethio before he and Lucius vanish. Spinel then releases Laquium mist, driving the heroes mad and declaring Explorer dominance. The Rising Volt Tacklers flee with Black Rayquaza's aid, but Liko loses Lucius's items, and Friede and Charizard fall from the Brave Olivine. One year later, Liko remembers the past while Spinel, now Exceed's director, blames the Tacklers for the disaster. Roy, possessing a shiny Lucario and Mega Ring, begins searching for someone significant.
