While traveling toward Kunoe City, Satoshi and his friends encounter a man named Kenzo who shares the history of Numelgon. During this interaction, they also come across Florges and a large group of bug Pokémon. These creatures previously caused significant trouble in the marshlands, which served as Numelgon's home.
